Birmingham City Council wins BCO

Squaredot picked up it's 5th British Council for Offices award, when Birmingham City Councils, Lifford House won the fit out of a workplace category in the Midlands regional awards. Part of the council's transformation programme, the judges praised the bright and stimulating environment, which made efficient use of the space available, while still retaining a spacious feel.

A number of initiatives to improve the buildings carbon footprint have also been introduced from existing re-use of the original building, intelligent lighting and general recycling agenda within the office space. The design guidelines strategy developed by Squaredot are currently being rolled out across nine buildings within Birmingham as part of the CAB (Central Administrative Building) programme.
