Network Rail, New generation of Maintenance and Safety Training Centres open

The first of five new centres opened by Transport Secretary, Tom King, they are being established to standardise training in track and signalling maintenance work. Squaredot were invited to produce concept models for the five centres, and detailed the design for this first one in Paddock Wood. The centres incorporate a state of the art replication of virtually any trackside environment but indoors. Offering a much safer and pleasant training environment in which to learn in. The other social, behavioural and aesthetic values that were designed at the award winning leadership development centre at Westwood, have also been incorporated. To create a success once, is satisfying, but to re-create the success factor in a wholly different environment is even more satisfying. The roll out of the Network Rail brand will now be extended to Maintenance Delivery Units and Corporate Offices.
