The credit crunch may be easing in some parts of the economy but commercial property remains a tough market. The property forum in this months FX magazine looks at how the commercial sector has been impacted by the downturn and how it has responded. CBRE Investor's new offices in London, is a pertinent example of the response. As lead design consultants Squaredot produced a genuinely creative approach to office design and property development in a very difficult market. Not only does it look great, but it has also saved the company a considerable sum of money.

Despite the challenging building environment and programme, the new spaces represent an energy and redefining of the business that is viewing itself as a bright and exciting property consultancy. With savings of 65% on rent values, efficiency wasn't gained at the expense of creativity.
