There is life on Mars
After the success of last months BCO conference in Birmingham, many plaudits were paid to the City’s council offices on Woodcock Street. A national British Council for Offices winner in 2013, the offices played host to a series of conference tours and demonstrated the new ways of working adopted by it’s staff. The transformation of the workspace has contributed hugely to altering the views of the staff in their approach and attitude to how and where they work.
To mark the event a short video filmed by photographer, David Remes was commissioned by Birmingham City Council. In conjunction with this a booklet has been produced that charts the consolidation of fifty five buildings into eight and demonstrates how this remarkable workplace transformation was achieved.
